the pinson mounds museum


the park s museum built within replica of platform mound. exhibits include artifacts obtained various excavations @ pinson site, various other artifacts around region. museum home west tennessee regional archaeology offices , archaeological library.


the park contains approximately 6 miles of walking trails, of explore mounds , associated features. south of sauls mound, boardwalk looks out on south fork of forked deer river , wetlands. park site of archaeofest, event held every september celebrates site s prehistoric builders.
