Restorations Nawagamuwa Pattini Devalaya
after restoration of devalaya in 1813 – 1928 period, devalaya haven’t had restoration until new millennium. in 2016, hundred year later, devalaya went through complete restoration, per guidance of department of archeology. restoration includes, wood-work using exact type of jak trees (that yielded honey- sweet fruits) used original builders, in addition cupper sheet roofing , granite flooring. restoration cost 30 million rupees complete. project funded nandana lokuwithana foundation. new renovation project, life-size marble statue of goddess paththini brought india nawagamuwa. unveiled public ceremonially on 19 august 2016.
