format
point scheme

in start of each season, judges decides on promoting contestant next round according number of lights turned on (votes). after performances, contestant promoted according number of points.

in first fifth season, 1 of 5 judges turn on table light if contestant made error. contestant have stop singing once 3 lights turned on. host allow judges give contestants feedback , chance wildcard. if contestant have 5 lights turned on or 3 lights or more after 30 seconds, contestant eliminated. if contestant have less 3 lights turned on, or advances next round.

from sixth season onwards, rules changed. contestant have stop singing once 2 lights turned on. if third light turned on, or eliminated straight away. if contestant have less 2 lights turned on, or advances next round.

point system

the points handed on production crew after each performance. after feedback judges, average or total score shown on screen. each judge allowed give each contestant 10 points.

for first season, total score shown, in later part of season, contestants commonly have same points such decimal points shown determine ranks. second season onwards judges cannot give contestants total score.

cards

after pk performance 2 individual contestants, 5 judges raise card (vote) determine shall promote next round. contestant gets 3 or more cards promoted, whereas other considered disqualification.

from fifth season, voting represented lights after consolidation. also, if there 6 judges, both contestants advances next round if both 3 votes.

pk trio

in fifth , seventh seasons, 3 contestants pk against each other. after performances, out of 5 judges, either 2 contestants 2 votes, or contestants number of votes, promote next round. other contestant(s) considered disqualification.

pk duo

in fifth season, trio pks, 2 contestants pk against each other. after performances, out of 6 judges, contestant number of votes promote next round. other contestant considered disqualification. however, if there 3 votes each, both contestants advances next round.
