the co-operative college established in 1919 co-operative union ten overseas students based on second floor of holyoake house, manchester, , in 1943 college became charitable trust.
in 1945, holyoake house damaged blitz, , co-operative college forced relocate stanford hall, spent fifty years. along years college spent in stanford, ran residential courses in social/economic subjects adult learners , wide range of retail , management courses co-operative employees. in 1946, dr robert marshall, obe, ma, became principal , chief executive officer , built reputation of college national , international institution.
the college has since returned original home @ holyoake house, , simon parkinson chief executive , principal.
