a 50-foot monument our confederate dead, erected in 1891, in lee square. commemorates jefferson davis, pensacolian confederate veterans stephen r. mallory (secretary of confederate navy) , edward aylesworth perry (confederate general , governor of florida 1885-1889), , uncrowned heroes of southern confederacy. mayor of pensacola has called removal.

bradfordville: robert e. lee monument, dedicated along highway 319 in 1927 udc. moved in 1960s , 1990s, located mile south of georgia border.
crestview: florida s last confederate veteran memorial, city park (1958). in 2015, ownership transferred trustees of lundy s family , memorial moved private property. after research determined memorialized man had not been veteran had falsified age veteran benefits.
dade city: confederate memorial, townsend house cemetery (2010)
deland: confederate veteran memorial, oakdale cemetery (1958)
gainesville: confederate monument, courthouse lawn (1904, moved private cemetery 2017)
lake city:

last confederate war widow, oaklawn cemetery, erected after death in 1985. memorial , cemetery along florida civil war heritage trail.
our confederate dead, oaklawn cemetery (1901, rededicated 1996). tall obelisk in memory of unnamed soldiers died @ nearby battle of olustee or in town s confederate hospital. cemetery focal point of opening of lake city s annual olustee battle festival.


orlando: confederate johnny reb monument, lake eola park (1911, moved lake eola park 1917, moved private cemetery 2017)
seffner: confederate memorial park, large flag visible interstate 75 near tampa (2009)
tampa: memoria in aeterna, hillsborough county courthouse annex (1911) after voting in july 2017 move statue family cemetery in brandon, county commission announced on august 16 statue moved if private citizens raised $140,000 within 30 days. funds raised next day. following day save southern heritage, veterans monuments of america, , udc filed lawsuit attempting prevent statue s relocation. removed september 5, 2017.

hendry county (1923), named francis asbury hendry, confederate captain , 1 of first settlers in area.
lee county (1887), named robert e. lee.
levy county (1845), named david levy yulee, florida businessman, senator, , strong supporter of slavery, withdrew u.s. senate in 1861 , served 9 months in prison after civil war supporting confederacy.
pasco county (1887), named samuel pasco, fought csa spent of war prisoner of war. pasco later became state representative , senator florida.

bartow (1862), renamed csa col. francis bartow.
brooksville (1856), named u.s. representative south carolina preston brooks, staunch advocate of slavery beat , injured senator (caning of charles sumner) on floor of u.s. senate giving anti-slavery speech.

perry (1875), named florida governor , csa col. madison starke perry.
starke. origin of name unknown. prominent theory named in honor of madison starke perry, fourth governor of florida , confederate states army colonel. division of historical resources of florida department of state adds city may have been named thomas starke, slaveholder once owned land around area.
titusville (1873), renamed csa col. henry t. titus, supplied confederate troops.
yulee (1893), named david levy yulee, supporter of slavery , secession. see levy county, above.

parks

crestview: confederate park (1958). after removal of confederate monument , flag, referred former confederate park.
ellenton: judah p. benjamin confederate memorial @ gamble plantation historic state park (1925)
fort walton beach: heritage park preserves confederate camp walton named county located in.
jacksonville:

confederate park, opened in 1907. named dignan park, park renamed when ucv chose locale site annual reunions in 1914.
hemming park/hemming plaza (1899) renamed in honor of civil war veteran charles c. hemming, after installed 62-foot (19 m)-tall confederate monument in park in 1898.
hemming park station elevated rail station taking name park.


miami: robert e. lee park, athletic field of jose de diego middle school replaced robert e. lee middle school (1924–1989) in wynwood neighborhood in 1999. school district spokesman has said name not official , requested agencies incorrect listings update them.

j.j. finley elementary school (1939), named csa brig. gen. jesse j. finley.
kirby-smith center (1939), alachua county public schools administrative offices. constructed in 1900, building white gainesville graded & high school. in august 2017, school board announced plans rename center.


hillsborough county: robert e. lee elementary school aka lee elementary magnet school of world studies , technology built 1906 , named lee in 1943. school board member pushing rename in 2017 noted had lee s army won war majority of our students slaves.
jacksonville

j.e.b. stuart middle school (1966), named csa gen. j. e. b. stuart.
jefferson davis middle school (1961)
kirby-smith middle school (1924), named csa gen. edmund kirby smith.
nathan bedford forrest high school (1959), white school named in protest against school desegregation, renamed westside high school in 2014 after decades of controversy.

orlando: robert e. lee middle school, renamed college park middle school in 2017.
pensacola: escambia high school s rebel mascot riots, 1972–1977. before noncontroversial name chosen, protests , violence occurred @ school , in community, crosses burned on school district members lawns, lawsuits filed, , ku klux klan held rally , petitioned school board.
tampa: lee elementary school of technology / world studies (1906). school s mascot robert e. lee s horse traveller. in july 2015, students asked school board change school s name. in june 2017, board member asked board consider name change.
west palm beech: jefferson davis middle school. renamed palm springs middle school in 2005.

panama city: city flag quite similar florida state flag white background , st andrews cross echoing confederate battle flag, city seal replacing state seal.

bradenton: confederate monument, manatee county courthouse, unveiled 1927. removed in august 2017
west palm beach: confederate monument, woodlawn cemetery (1941). 1 south of st. augustine, confederate statue in palm beach , broward counties, said historian janet devries, leads cemetery tours @ woodlawn. vandalized several times. removed august 22, 2017. placed in storage, since owner, udc, had not claimed despite notification. believed local historians last confederate monument in palm beach county.
the state senate seal included confederate battle flag 1972 2016. senate voted in october 2015 replace confederate symbol florida state flag in wake of racially motivated charleston shootings.
the confederate stainless banner flag flew on west entrance of florida state capitol 1978 until 2001, when gov. jeb bush ordered removed.
