the willie mays statue located in front of ballpark entrance @ 24 willie mays plaza , surrounded 24 palm trees, in honor of number 24 uniform, retired giants. dedicated @ noon on march 31, 2000, prior opening of ballpark , commissioned giants managing partner peter magowan , wife debby.


another statue located @ mccovey point across mccovey cove, , dedicated willie mccovey. around willie mccovey statue number of plaques celebrate winners of willie mac award. statue located @ china basin park next barry bonds junior giants field, t-ball park. located on sea wall promenade plaques showing opening day roster of every giants team 1958 through 1999. giants fans contributed funds china basin park, had own tiles own inscriptions set wall.
