abbey

abbey station located on peel godred branch line.

arlesburgh

arlesburgh ancient seaside town, located upon both sides of river arle estuary on west coast of island of sodor, along duck s branch line - little western, between bluff s cove , harwick.

arlesburgh goods yard located north of seaside town itself, shed built here (accommodating ryan , daisy, both whom run harwick extension of little western). goods yard introduced in sodor s legend of lost treasure, , later appeared in season 20.

arlesburgh harbour located adjacent seaside town itself, first appeared in season 3 , later reappeared in sodor s legend of lost treasure , in season 20. little western passes through harbour en route harwick.

the harbour 1 of prominent ports in sodor s industry, , home various boats , barges, including pirate ship , skiff rail-boat.

arlesburgh maritime museum located adjacent quay , lighthouse close-by harbour itself, museum served halt. made first appearance in season 20.

arlesburgh west (a.k.a. arlesburgh junction) through station on duck s branch line – little western, passes through seaside town itself. line interchanges 15-inch gauge arlesdale railway.

the village of balladrine served station, located on main line sharing similar structure dryaw station on thomas branch line.

ballahoo dormitory town, (located northeast of crovan s gate , southwest of vicarstown) serviced station on arthur s branch line.

bluff s cove seaside village, located between haultrough , arlesburgh, on duck s branch line.

brendam

brendam town, located @ end of peninsula, , served station. shown in seasons 2 , 3.

it top station of edward s branch line. brendam docks located few yards away.

upper brendam station, located between lower suddery , north of brendam.

brendam docks (introduced name in season 5) 1 of busiest , important dockyard harbours in island s industry.

cabalnoo

cabalnoo village located northwest of kirk ronan. railway station located here on main line loop route.

callan

callan town, served station. station has platform on either side of 3 tracks – 2 of tracks pass under bridge, while third leads single shed. behind 1 of platforms adjacent shunting yard, @ 1 point featured open shed.

callan located east of town of peel, , name comes exact river (of same name) on reverend w awdry s maps of sodor.

cronk

cronk historic country town, located upon curiously rocky outcrop, close centre of valley towards heart of sodor.

it located (between maron , killdane) , halfway point along main line.

crosby

crosby seaside town, located between knapford , wellsworth on main line, junction loop line, (via elsbridge , callandale) tidmouth.

cros-ny-cuirn

cros-ny-cuirn village located between crovan s gate , glennock, along skarloey railway.

the station (which serviced narrow gauge railway).

crovan s gate

crovan s gate terminus of skarloey railway , station on main line of north western railway, serving town of same name.

although works books mentioned, never seen @ crovan s gate, , on time different locations have been used maintenance of engines.

the station returned in season 18 episode duncan , grumpy passenger.

dryaw

the village of dryaw located (between knapford , toryreck), on thomas branch line.

the station (serving village), next adjacent small airfield , harold, tiger moth, , red balloon seen here. episodes feature station on thomas branch line, while in others, main line trains pass through.

a small footbridge runs on rails , runs platform on 1 side platform on other side. dryaw has small picket fence running @ edge of platform, separating platform airfield. name anagram of awdry .

elsbridge

the village of elsbridge served station, (or was) original junction (and middle) station on thomas s branch line, loop line between crosby , tidmouth en route.

it located in countryside, , station (known station by/near river) consists of 2 island platforms, linked footbridge, station structure , canopies, adjacent signaling too.

additionally, there adjacent yard , sheds, coaching stock, goods trains, , railway engines resided.

other fellow stations have served junctions thomas branch line.

according tv series map, elsbridge junction on loop line running tidmouth (via callandale , elsbridge, itself) east of crosby.

ffarquhar

the town of ffarquhar located east of hackenbeck, , terminus of thomas s branch line.

here, top station, island-platform station, tracks on both opposite sides, station building structure centered in-between

although thomas branch line terminates @ ffarquhar, line in-fact continues beyond top station, along tramway-style section anopha (ffarquhar) quarry.

glennock

glennock village, located adjacent skarloey railway.

it located presumably midway between crovan s gate , skarloey top station.

great waterton

great waterton once largest railway town on sodor. time went on , industry spread new towns, waterton abandoned. when thomas later discovered town through old, overgrown branch line, industries of sodor worked restore major attraction. edward delivered large water wheel put on display station.

the rails @ waterton station branch off in several directions, , tracks elevated above main line. tracks lead disused mine in mountains.

hackenbeck

the village of hackenbeck located west of town of ffarquhar on thomas branch line.

harwick

harwick seaside town (and fishing port) located on northernmost side of island of sodor.

the fishing town top station of newly constructed harwick extension of little western, runs through nearby arlesburgh harbour , coast fishing town itself.

it mentioned in sodor s legend of lost treasure , first seen in season 20.

haultrough

haultrough seaside village located (between tidmouth , bluff s cove) on duck s branch line - little western, station itself, island platform station, track passing on opposite sides, station building centered in between.

kellaby

kellaby village, served station located between kellsthorpe , balladrine on main line.

kellsthorpe road

kellesthorpe road large train station on main line, (introduced in season 8). thomas helped carry workmen , construction site when first opened. there sharp, difficult bend before station, annie , clarabel thomas pass easily. when coaches had go shop maintenance, thomas nervous , came off track @ bend. later, runaway trucks came down main line towards construction site. thomas remembered coaches advice , made station warn signalman trucks.

killaban

killaban village located south of cronk , southwest of killdane.

killdane town located near cronk.

it on main line, starting point of peel godred branch line. killdane junction killdane branch line.

kirk ronan

kirk ronan town, served large terminus. when gordon first visited, disappointed @ blank wall in front of buffers arrived. when station officially opened, gordon crashed through wall, hanging several feet above ground. when station reopened, part of opening made crash remained, plaque reading gordon s view.

kirk ronan functioned in role reserved knapford. although main line engines travelled station in tv series, in books featured historically, terminus of sodor & mainland railway, first standard gauge line on island.

knapford

knapford 1 of 2 main towns on island of sodor, other being tidmouth.

knapford station has 6 platforms, , large glass roof. contains fat controller s office, , station hm queen visited fat controller. gordon pulls express here every day.

knapford junction located adjacent station itself, junction formed of crossovers in-between.

knapford sheds engines , coaches stored. main shed has 5 parallel tracks running it, , yard outside. engines come here repairs.

knapford yard (located north of town itself), shunting takes place, repair sheds located here.

knapford introduced in season 1 , has been in every season. briefly terminus station in show s first season, , harbor yard seen through it. new model built thomas , magic railroad , later seasons. in newer model, track extends beyond station , turns away..

in season 1 episode thomas , gordon , becomes tidmouth sheds present , named knapford sheds shown on signal box carrying knapford nameboard instead.

knapford described junction thomas branch line. name comes parish of knapwell, awdry vicar.

knapford station yard (introduced in adventure begins), large shunting area added adjacent station. shunting yard consists of sidings, couple of sheds , coal hopper. station got signal gantries , crossovers.

knapford harbour dockyard harbour, located west of knapford station itself.

lakeside

lakeside village, located @ northern limit of skarloey railway. village located adjacent lake, gains name, there harbour in-between.

a blue drawbridge located here (where boats enter or exit harbour), along junction in-between. loop of skarloey railway runs-round village , lake.

maithwaite

the village of maithwaite served small station, located besides adjacent level crossing, 2 lines running through. main line , branch line engines have been seen running through. percy once helped station win best-dressed station contest, not making due ram , trouble-making boys.

maithwaite located (between elsbridge , hackenbeck) on thomas branch line.

maron

maron local village located on eastern end of gordon s hill. in tv series, station (serving village) has appeared (with 2 different designs).

maron junction town of ulfstead, (via summerhouse) northwards, , sodor search & rescue centre southwards.

norramby

the resort of norramby located on east coast of island of sodor, top station of arthur s branch line.

peel

peel (also known as, peel godred) station on peel godred branch line. has 4 platforms, 2 being on island platform between centre tracks. near station there town hall , bakery.

rheneas (village)

rheneas village served station (located between glennock , village of skarloey) on skarloey railway.

rheneas viaduct, bridge , tunnel located nearby.

skarloey (village)

skarloey village , top station of skarloey railway.

suddery

suddery town located mid-way along peninsula of island, capital of island of sodor , served 2 train stations, both located on edward s branch line.

lower suddery station seen in show s run. , (or was) on edward blue engine s branch line, between wellsworth , upper brendam.

tidmouth

tidmouth 1 of 2 main towns on island of sodor, other being knapford.

the town largest railway centre , headquarters of north western railway.

in original books, tidmouth main settlement , largest station , engine shed on sodor. in tv series, knapford largest, , number of different locations have used name tidmouth, making town of tidmouth, (itself) second largest , co-main settlement, on island of sodor.

tidmouth station (or perhaps was) station glass roof , row of 3 lines passing through. there group of engine sheds engines on thomas branch line lived time time. there coal depot in yards nearby. engines on duck s branch line worked here period, , station @ 1 point referred works.

lower tidmouth station railway station (located midway between tidmouth , knapford) seen junction thomas s branch line.

tidmouth hault station located on west coast of sodor, along duck s branch line, (between tidmouth , haultrough). toby, duck, , donald helped build engine sheds there. main line engines or engines thomas branch line have been seen passing through, station junction separate line callandale (on loop line towards elsbridge).

tidmouth tunnel (aka, caste tunnel) located between tidmouth , tidmouth hault, on duck s branch line - little western. in addition, nearby picturesque lake located adjacent tunnel close-by.

tidmouth town square located north of tidmouth station itself, co-serving town of tidmouth.

tidmouth sheds main engine sheds (located near tidmouth station, itself), thomas, edward, henry, gordon, james, percy , emily (since calling engines) live. toby stays @ tidmouth sheds.

other engines have been know stay @ tidmouth sheds, including stanley in great discovery, flynn fire engine in day of diesels , spencer multiple times.

duck, donald, douglas , oliver formerly lived @ tidmouth sheds. duck stayed in sheds in season 18 episode, duck , slip coaches , co-helped increasing passenger service , holiday traffic in-between.

tidmouth harbour (aka, tidmouth docks) sheltered dockyard harbour (and 1 of busiest , prominent ports in sodor s industry), located close sea , has extensive railway system, connecting main line. flying kipper begins journeys here other parts of island.

toryreck

toryreck local village, located between dryaw , elsbridge on thomas branch line.

the village served country station, single platform , consists of siding , shed, on opposite end.

toryreck close junction breaches of towards knapford harbour, separate line lead mines, in-between.

ulfstead

the town of ulfstead located north of maron (on main line), , east of town of ffarquhar (on thomas branch line).

it known ulfstead castle located nearby, , dominates town below.

vicarstown town located on east coast of island of sodor, served railway station (of same name), made debut in great race, , has appeared in journey beyond sodor.

wellsworth

wellsworth, town, served station (also known edward s station ), located between crosby , maron on main line, connecting (as junction to) edward s branch line, branch line, running north-east of town, coaling yard.

there adjacent yard behind station has changed time time.
