early career (1991–1997)

paes started 25th season on atp world tour partnering klaasen chennai final, team lost lu/marray. on 17 january, won 55th tour-level title in 93rd final @ auckland, again klaasen. team recorded 3 match tie break victories en route final. win, paes has won @ least 1 trophy every season since 1997.

on 1 february, paes captured seventh grand slam mixed doubles crown @ 2015 australian open martina hingis. 15th major crown overall , third mixed doubles triumph @ melbourne park. pair beat defending champions daniel nestor , kristina mladenovic in final. no. 7 seed klaasen in men s doubles, paes lost eventual champions bolelli/fognini in second round.
