thurnby rangers

thurnby rangers established sunday league team , played @ dakyn road in leicester. won charnwood sunday league premier division in 1988–89 , went on win title in each of next 3 seasons. after finishing runners-up in 1992–93, club switched saturday football, joined division 1 of leicester & district league. won division @ first attempt , promoted premier division. following season saw them win premier division title, earning promotion division 1 of leicestershire senior league.


thurnby won division 1 title , leicestershire & rutland saturday shield in 1995–96, unable take promotion premier division. runners-up following season, , after winning division 1 again in 2000–01, club promoted premier division. won league cup , leicestershire , rutland senior cup in 2001–02 , premier division champions in 2004–05. following season saw them win leicestershire , rutland senior cup again.


leicester nirvana

fc nirvana established mid-1980s, having grown out of red star youth group, , played @ victoria park. club joined division 1 of mutual league in 1984 , runners-up in first season, earning promotion premier division. won premier division title in 1986–87 , runners-up following season. after finish third in 1988–89 club moved division 1 of central midlands league , renamed leicester nirvana. division 1 runners-up in first season in first season in league. following season saw club resign mid-season; however, allowed rejoin league 1991–92 season, saw them placed in premier division south. club left league @ end of season, having decided focus on youth football.


merged club

in 2008 thurnby rangers , leicester nirvana merged form thurnby nirvana, retaining rangers place in premier division of leicestershire senior league, although leicester nirvana continued youth club. in 2009–10 finished third in premier division , promoted east midlands counties league. club won league cup in 2010–11 , league title in 2013–14, earning promotion premier division of united counties league. runners-up in premier division following season. @ end of season club renamed leicester nirvana. premier division runners-up again in 2015–16, missing out on title on goal difference.
