in february 2012, announced cassill drive front row motorsports in 2012 daytona 500, driving no. 26 ford, deal fell through cassill received full-season offer. shortly after announced cassill drive no. 83 in 2012, driving new team, bk racing, purchased assets , owners points of former red bull racing team. cassill go on finish 31st in season points.

2013–present

on january 17, 2013, announced cassill leave bk racing due contract disagreements. in late february, joined circle sport, driving team s no. 33 in sprint cup series remainder of season. in march revealed cassill suing bk racing claim of unpaid winnings. later in season, starting @ brickyard 400, cassill began running in no. 40, jointly fielded circle sport , hillman racing, in majority of races.

in december 2013, announced cassill return no. 4 chevrolet in 2014 nascar nationwide series jd motorsports, replacing mike wallace team s lead driver, in addition returning no. 40 chevrolet circle sport in sprint cup series.

on february 2, 2015, snap fitness returned no. 40 team second year, sponsoring races @ atlanta, all-star showdown, charlotte motor speedway, michigan international speedway, , darlington raceway. on february 11, announced cassill partnering carsforsale.com second year. carsforsale.com sponsored daytona 500 , 5 other sprint cup races in 2015 season. ran in 2015 coke 0 400, underfunded car involved in massive crash on last lap @ checkered flag; finish 13th.

with hillman joining premium motorsports, cassill lost no. 40 ride. in 2016, cassill joined front row motorsports, driving no. 38 ford fusion. during texas race, big 1 occurred on lap 271, cassill barely made through. cassill had best performance of season in food city 500, led 20 laps on contrary fuel strategy 22nd-place finish.
