the pakistani province of sindh has seen nativist movements, promoting control sindhi people on homeland. after 1947 partition of india, large numbers of muhajir people migrating india entered province, becoming majority in provincial capital city of karachi, formerly had ethnically sindhi majority. sindhis have voiced opposition promotion of urdu, opposed native tongue, sindhi.


these nativist movements expressed through sindhi nationalism , sindhudesh separatist movement. nativist , nationalist sentiments increased after independence of bangladesh pakistan in 1971.
