sts-6 last shuttle mission four-person crew until sts-135, final shuttle mission, launched on 8 july 2011. commander paul weitz had served pilot on first skylab mission, lived , worked in skylab month may june 1973. after skylab, weitz became deputy chief of astronaut office under chief astronaut john young. bobko became astronaut air force s manned orbiting laboratory program later joined nasa in 1969 after mol program s cancellation. prior sts-6 participated in skylab medical experiment altitude test , worked member of support crew apollo-soyuz test project.
peterson transfer mol program, , member of support crew apollo 16. musgrave joined nasa in 1967 part of second scientist-astronaut group, , backup science pilot first skylab mission. participated in design of equipment , peterson used during eva on sts-6 mission.
