wissam al-hassan, assassinated on 19 october 2012 in car bomb located in achrafieh district of beirut. killed along 2 citizens, while hundred , twenty others injured. wissam al-hassan head of information branch of lebanon s internal security forces , 1 of country s key security officials. death comes few months after investigated ex-information minister michel samaha, charged smuggling bombs syria of syrian security chief ali mamlouk, in order launch series of terrorist attacks in lebanon.
