the series takes place in beverly hills, california, , follows fictional teen club , consisting of group of wealthy teenagers, shown approximately sixteen years old. common settings include teens palatial high school, country club, local salon , spa, , shopping thoroughfare on rodeo drive. lead protagonist larke, blonde-haired, blue-eyed high school student , fashion model shown kind , generous friends. romantic lead handsome heartthrob, troy who, larke, shown genial , likable, , object of affection other girls.


providing of series conflict raven-haired beauty, bianca, views larke primary rival lead in high school play, title of homecoming queen, and, importantly, troy s affections. sharing disdain perfect coupling pierce, effeminate , narcissistic boy presents himself ladies man , resents troy s relationship larke. storylines involve bianca or pierce, or both working together, plotting and/or manipulating events in attempt sabotage larke , troy s romance, various other relationships within teen club.
