when speak groups of women scientists, ask them if have ever been in meeting made recommendation, had ignored, , heard man receive praise , support making same point few minutes later. each time majority of women in audience raise hands. microassaults damaging when come high school science teacher, college mentor, university dean or member of scientific elite has been awarded prestigious prize—the people should inspiring , supporting next generation of scientists.
